"I Google people and look for their pictures."

Yes, but I use an old publicity still for David Niven.
Nick F looks a bit like George Clooney.

127 people currently playing the Schleswig-Holstein Seniors Open!

http://osem-sh.de/index.php/ergebnisse2020

But the worsening Covid situation has meant the next tournament, in Dresden mid-month, is restricted to 49 people who have already entered.

There is a huge entry of German seniors (170 or so) for the last tournament of the year in December, but hard to get to from the UK or Ireland I think, even if the situation were to improve. After that there is nothing on the horizon until next June.

My Seniors pages were updated yesterday.

I think a Seniors tournament might be tried on LiChess? The problem (apart from anti-cheating) could be to verify ages.

Here is another one provisionally going ahead:
26th-29th November New Zealand Senior Chess Championship.
at Auckland Chess Centre, Mt. Eden, Auckland, New Zealand.
Players must be over the age of 49 on 1st January 2020. Non New Zealand players can enter.
Only 50 first fully paid entries accepted due to space constraints.
The tournament was originally planned for 24th-27th April then postponed until 10th-13th September due to Covid-19. Now it is 26th-29th November.

Thank you all for your information. The PDF and website for Bad Worishofen do not seem to say what their age rule is for the Seniors so I have put in a request. When they reply I can add it to my Seniors calendar, but I doubt I will be going.

FIDE rules for next year are: 65+ born on or before 31 December 1956; 50+ on or before 31/12/1971

But some German Senior events are males 60+ (the old rule) with 55+ for females. This is probably one of those.

LATER EDIT: I am now informed that the Seniors rule for Bad Worishofen next year is:

"Men born in 1961 or earlier, women born in 1971 or earlier."

I've found another one provisionally going ahead.
According to the US Chess Federation website Tournament Calendar:

2nd-3rd January 2021 Midwest Senior Open.
Comfort Inn O'Hare Des Plaines, Illinois.
Must be age 50 or older as of 31st December 2021.

My Seniors calendar is updated again, including a couple of the tournaments Simon has mentioned.

http://www.chessmail.com/seniors/Seniors-calendar.html

On my news page, I've added a link to the site for the 2020 US Championships because their senior tournament (nine GMs and one FM) will be live next weekend for three days.

http://www.chessmail.com/seniors/Seniors-news.html

I find announcements about 2021 senior events on the European Chess Union website confusing and contradictory. I am never quite sure if changes reflect reality or just the beliefs of their webmaster.

If what they currently say is correct, the 2021 European Senior Team Championship will be held in Wroclaw, where it had been due to be played in 2020, but no dates are offered.
This would mean Dresden in 2022 and probably no World Team Championship next year.

The ECU website also says Italy for the EU Senior Individuals but won't the Italians be postponed to 2022 (especially as they are hosting the World Individual Seniors). The Poles had been due to run the European Individuals so should have the right to run the 2021 instead, but it could mean that having been postponed twice, the local organisers in Jastrzebia Gora have lost interest.

I emailed the man named as the ECU senior organiser some time ago but he has never replied.

"If what they currently say is correct, the 2021 European Senior Team Championship will be held in Wroclaw"

And if it is, potential players might like to know it's pronounced "Vrotswavv".

Thanks.
Don't worry. I've found some more.
