The sad news was reported recently that Slovenian International Master Vojko Musil died on 5th June 2023, at the age of 77.
Vojko was born on 18th August 1945.
His most successful tournament was in Maribor back in 1967.
There he drew with white against Samuel Reshevsky, won with white against Vasja Pirc and drew with black against Borislav Ivkov.
In Ljubljana back in 1975, Vojko won in 26 moves with white against Dragoljub Velimirovic.
A couple of years later Vojko won against GM Laszlo Szabo.

In that 1975 tournament he gave Karpov a serious scare, even though he lost in the end.
