I am sorry to inform you that Alan Barker died on 13th March 2023, aged 60.
Alan played correspondence chess for over 40 years with a number of different teams.
Outside chess, Alan was a keen football fan, Liverpool being his favourite team. He also loved going to see rock bands live.
