I am sorry to report that Kevin O'Rourke passed away on 20th January, at his home in Senghenydd, Caerphilly, Gwent.
Kevin was a member of the Caerphilly Chess Club for many years.
He was a captain of one of the Caerphilly Chess Club league teams and also took part in many congresses.
Kevin made a metal chess set and was keen to show everyone.
His funeral is at 2.15pm on Wednesday 1st February at Thornhill Crematorium, Thornhill Road, Thornhill, Cardiff, CF14 9UA.
There is a gathering afterwards nearby at Manor Parc Hotel, Thornhill Road, Thornhill, Cardiff, CF14 9UA.
