I am sorry to inform you that Mike Colebrook of the Grimsby and District Chess Club passed away at the beginning of last month.
Mike was club secretary 1964-1967 and 1990-1993, club treasurer 1971-1972 and club president 1973-1984.
He was league secretary 1971-1972, 1976-1977, 1991-1994 and 1996-2010. MCCU Delegate 1973-1983.
Mike Colebrook also received the ECF President's award in 2011 along with Mike Truran, Kevin Thurlow, Dave Thomas and Syd Cassidy.
His funeral took place on Thursday 16th September at Grimsby Crematorium followed by a Wake at Healing Manor.
