I am sorry to inform you that Mihail Nutu of New Milton Chess Club, Dorset, passed away earlier this year at the age of just 56, whilst on holiday in his homeland Romania.
Mihail had been a member of New Milton CC for a little over five years. He was a popular player and was the last winner of the club's Yuletide Fun Frolic, and the club will now institute a trophy for that event in Mihail's name, with his success just a few months ago, inscribed to show him as the first winner.
