I am sorry to inform you that Robert Loughran passed away on 1st March 2022.
Robert was born in 1957 and played for Irvine Chess Club, Ayrshire for many years.
He was a stalwart for the club and played for them in the Ayrshire League and was a regular in tournaments across Scotland and the North of England.
I believe his funeral took place a week and a half later.
