I am sorry to inform you that David Prior of Southbourne Chess Club sadly passed away on 27th October 2021.
He was active on the Dorset chess scene for many years and particularly at Southbourne Chess Club in the 1980s and 90s when he held the position of the Internal Competitions Secretary.
David's passing was reported on the Dorset Chess Association website on the 17th November.
His funeral was held yesterday at Bournemouth Crematorium.

David Prior of Southbourne Chess club sadly passed away on 27th October 2021.

David was well known to local chess players having been active in the area for many years and particularly at Southbourne Chess Club in the 1980s and 90s when he held the position of the Internal Competitions Secretary. He retired from chess about 15 to 20 years ago.
