I am sorry to inform you that Richard Dunn has died at the age of 72.
Richard was a key member of Kings Head Chess Club and also the London Deaf Chess Club.
He was also a member of the NALGO squad which played in the London Commercial Chess League.
His passing was reported on the Kings Head twitter page on the 8th November.

I played him once in 2003. I don't think I realised he was deaf until after the game had started. I needed one of his team-mates to interpret his draw offer for me. At least once we ended up sharing a train journey to a county match, where we went through quite a bit of paper in our conversation. A very pleasant gentleman. I was slightly surprised to see that he was 72, I would have put him probably a decade or so younger.
