I am sorry to report that Grigory Sanakoev died on 8th October in Voronezh, Russia, at the age of 86.
Grigory was born on 17th April 1935 in Voronezh, Soviet Union and was a Russian International Correspondence Chess Grandmaster.
He became the twelfth ICCF World Champion and held it from 1984 to 1991.
He was also the author of a book on Correspondence Chess titled: World Champion At The Third Attempt.
