James (Jim) Fox

I am sorry to inform you that James (Jim) Fox died on Tuesday 18th May 2021. He played for Wimborne Chess Club in Dorset.
Jim, as he was commonly known, joined the club soon after it started in the 70s.
He regularly played for Wimborne in the Bournemouth & District League and also the Dorset League.
Every year, Jim played in the Dorset Congress and back in 2004 played in the Weymouth Congress.
He was also the last winner of the DCCA Minor Trophy.
There was a nice tribute along with anecdotes and a picture with his Trophy posted in the news section of the Dorset website.
