I am sorry to report that John Button has died.
It was announced recently on the Bushbury Chess Club Facebook page.
John regularly played for Bushbury in the Wolverhampton and District Chess League, Birmingham & District League and also the Cannock League.
He also played for Staffordshire in the MCCU County Matches.
