I am sorry to report that John Skinner died on the 26th November 2019, aged 89.
The funeral took place on Tuesday 10th December 2019 at Canley Crematorium, Coventry.
John was Kenilworth Chess Club stalwart for 25 years or so, from around the mid-1980s right through to about 2010.
He played for Kenilworth in the Coventry League and also the Leamington League.
John played in numerous congresses including Huddersfield and the British Championships in Scarborough back in 2001.
There is some excellent tributes posted on the Kenilworth Chess Club website on 1st January 2020.
Worth a read.
