Nigel Granville RIP

It was reported on the Welsh Chess Union Obituaries section yesterday that Nigel Granville has sadly died.
He passed away on Friday 11th December aged 56.
He had suffered a stroke and been in hospital for a long time.
Nigel was born in 1964 and was a member of Newport Chess Club for over 30 years and was very popular.
Newport is the oldest Chess Club in Wales and play in the Gwent League.
Thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.
