I am sorry to inform you that Andrew Baxter has died suddenly, after a short illness, aged 53.
It was posted on the Rotherham Chess Club and the Sheffield & District Chess Association websites on Thursday 22nd October by Chris Willey.
Andy was a strong playing member of Rotherham Chess Club. He played for them in the Sheffield & District Chess League and played in congresses including Blackpool and Doncaster.
He loved his chess, whether playing in the league or in tournaments.
