It was announced by Basildon Chess Club that Ken Laundy passed away on Saturday 21st September 2019, aged 81 years, after being ill for some time.
A service to commemorate Ken's life took place on Monday 7th October 2019 at Basildon & District Crematorium, Pitsea, Essex.
Ken was a regular player for Basildon in the Essex League and the Southend & District League.
Condolences to his son, Peter, who also plays for Basildon Chess Club.
