It has been reported that Dmitry Svetushkin has died.
He was one of the strongest Grandmasters in Moldova.
In 2010 he was national champion and permanent member of the Moldovan National team.
At the 2014 Olympiad, he achieved a rating performance of 2809, the fourth-best on board two.
He was a strong player with many original opening ideas and deep positional understanding.
Dmitry climbed to 2621 Elo rating and was a key figure in Moldovan chess.
