I am sorry to report that Edna Betty Dawson passed away on 21st April after being in a care home for about 18 months.
Betty played for Kynoch Chess Club. She also played in the Birmingham and District League and also the Dudley and District League.
She will be sadly missed by all members of Kynoch Chess Club together with her husband Brian Dawson who also plays chess for Kynoch.
The funeral took place at the Streetly Crematorium, Walsall, West Midlands in June.
It was announced on the Birmingham and District Chess League on the 15th June by Grendon Morgan of Kynoch Chess Club.
