I am sorry to inform you that John Higgins died earlier this year.
He passed away on 9th March after collapsing unexpectedly at home.
The funeral took place on Wednesday 22nd April at Landican Crematorium South Chapel, Birkenhead.
John was born in 1946 and was a member of Wallasey Chess Club for many years.
John played for Wallasey Chess Club in the Wirral Chess League and the Liverpool League.
