I am sorry to report that Ronald Hyde has died at the age of 73.
Charlton Chess Club reported learning the sad news a couple of months ago.
Ron was a popular member of Charlton Chess Club for well over 30 years.
He served on Charlton's organising committee for a number of years.
Ron represented the club in the Kent and London Leagues. Playing for the team in matches.
