Robert Richmond

The ECF website gives details about Robert https://www.englishchess.org.uk/rip-rob ... 1956-2020/ whose unexpected death occurred last week.

Robert was a well known chess administrator and will be missed by his many friends across the chess world.

Very sorry to read this. Rob and I overlapped at Pembroke College - he was a couple of years younger and a much stronger player. A nice person.

Sad to hear this. We played a few times on the same Aylesbury team in the mid 1990s, usually at opposite ends of the board order.
