What was my grade?
Hello all.
Just need a bit of help please.
I've looked for my grade pre 1994 on the ECF Grading Database but can't find them.
On the database my grade was 103 in 1994 and 105 in 1995.
I joined Poulton-le-Fylde Chess Club in 1988 so my first grade might have been in 1989.
Can anyone help please?
Many thanks, Simon.

You need the old fashioned version, namely a grading book. I see Joe or perhaps his parents had them archived.Simon Rogers wrote: ↑Thu Mar 04, 2021 8:17 pmI've looked for my grade pre 1994 on the ECF Grading Database but can't find them.

Re: What was my grade?
If I remember, there were regional union lists back then, so I used to buy the SCCU list, but I am not aware whether there was a national list published, apart from for the top players. For my sins, I think I have still got some SCCU lists from the 1970s/80s, but I remember recently shredding some later national lists, which I imagine are digitally available - very therapeutic it was, too.

You wouldn't want them falling into the wrong hands.Graham Borrowdale wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 12:36 pmI remember recently shredding some later national lists.

Well, quite, but what I said was that the shredding was therapeutic.LawrenceCooper wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 6:12 pmNickFaulks wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 1:31 pmYou wouldn't want them falling into the wrong hands.Graham Borrowdale wrote: ↑Sun Mar 07, 2021 12:36 pmI remember recently shredding some later national lists.
