I accept that 'arsehole' is a phrase too far, whatever the provocation and frustration. There are limits. I will try and maintain a higher standard going forward.

that is good. if you have an issue with a director of of the ecf why not a) approach them directly or b) contact the chief executive c) raise it at the agm - i suspect you are more likely to achieve behaviour modification or receive an apology that if you air the issues abusively in public. Human nature is that if attacked we are likely to defend ourselves.

Alan Kennedy - your advice is very sound, indeed there are many instances where direct contact with ECF Directors would be better than moaning on this forum. My complaints were not with ECF Directors or rather given that some of those incurring my wrath have also worn ECF hats, were not aimed at them in their ECF capacity. Some targets of my wrath are also legendary for being unable to apologise. But I really should desist if I'm not to upset the moderators.

Like you I'm exploring the 17th century rating wise. :)

2049: Bladerunner 2049, of course
2154; Dalek Invasion of earth
2179: Aliens movie
2256: Babylon 5 launched
2305: Captain Jean-Luc Picard born (I am very happy to be here, although I am hoping the ECF conversion gets me to the Borg...)
2419: Buck Rogers wakes up in the 25th Century
2517; Events of Firefly - appropriately GM level maps to the greatest sci-fi TV of all time!
Extending this list may be problematic because of doubts cast by Zager and Evans regarding whether any chessplayers will still be alive in 2525.
Zager & Evans referred to "man" - I'm sure AlphaZero will have worked out how to exist in the ether by then!

In the year 2525
If man is still alive.
If woman can survive, they may find...
