Sorry, Mick - Manchester clashes with Paignton, still resolutely analogue.

I haven't got anything against digital clocks (or Manchester) - honest! - but I do like to be beside the seaside... :D

Andrew

I knew you weren't going to come, but the opportunity for the plug for anyone else's benefit was too good to miss

Thanks
Mick

To follow up from the AGM, I am delighted to confirm that Ali Jaunooby (Denton, Greater Manchester) has accepted the award of the MCCU British Championship Qualifying Place for Sheffield

I hope all the MCCU will wish him the best of luck - it is great to see the place going to someone who really appreciates it

Further shameless plug alert

Manchester Rapidplay Sunday 25 March 2012 at the City of Manchester Stadium (or whatever it is called by then)

I am think of using the incremental time control 20 min plus 10 sec from move 1 (as used at Leek and Coulsden and therefore maybe the standard version of this?) - anyone any views on this?

The Birmingham Rapidplay will be using it this year too. The Rapidplays at the British Championship use it. I think it's becoming the standard version of it.

Thanks

Interesting that the Rapidplays at the British use it, but not the British Rapidplay

Alex

I see this is in the MCCU and ECF Tournament Calendars, but maybe you should add it to the Congress Diary on this forum

Have you sorted out the entry form yet? If so, would be good to see it

It will be on here when I get the forms sent to me. The bit on the calendars is really just to let others know it's happening on that date. More detail will come soon.

For what it's worth, the forms will be delivered to me in the next hour or so. :D

I've cut down the number of paper forms already. I was charged with posting them to goodness-knows who last season. At least now the forms are only going to last year's entries and congresses. They're also going to local schools when I put them in the same envelopes as the Warwickshire Junior Championship entry forms in another hat I wear. Saves on the postage cost. 8)

Alex, If you e-mail me the form I'll get it onto the MCCU site. Ray
