How to get a blog to show up on google

My niece is just starting an MA in the History of South East Asian art and has set up a blog but it's not showing up on google. Any ideas? For anyone interested in South East Asian art, particularly Chinese here's the link

Blogger is run by Google themselves.

Under the "privacy" settings of the blog, there's an option to make the blog "Listed on Blogger. Visible to search engines." That should be enough for the blog to show up on google searches.

The more people read the blog and link to the blog, the higher the ranking in the search results.

If you are really desperate, you can "buy keywords" so that the site will return at the top of given searches, but this seems overkill.

It's showing up on google now as long as you don't put a gap between the two words. I've e-mailed her the link that John gave. From what Carl says links on other websites has an affect too. When you put the two words in without a gap it's coming up as the first result on google. Must be the power of the ECForum

Link to other websites. My brother-in-law did this and now his site (he makes and sells cheese) comes out top when you enter the name in Google.
