I've always thought there was a simple explanation for Boris winning the last general election - he was deemed the lesser evil of the two candidates who might have been elected to lead the nation.

Matt just look at who the ohnson government helped in the cost of living crisis to see your wrong there sorry, he helped people on benefits first, and most, the rich could help themselves-a libertine is characterised by believing socialism should only be for the rich(government handouts to bankers etc.) this is an entirely different approach by this government which has been to the left of Blairs.Matt Mackenzie wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 4:05 pmA reminder to all that "libertine" is not coterminous with "liberal".

Yes, the only question is whether some unscrupulous people took advantage of the system, or was it actually devised to their specification?Matt Bridgeman wrote: ↑Fri Jul 22, 2022 11:34 pmOnly 1.5 billion given out in coronavirus contracts to companies with connections to the Conservative Party. I am not an apologist to government corruption, but ffs we are the least corrupt country in the terms of government corruption in the world. 1.5 billion out of 500 billion spent just shows how little corruption there was.

Sorry, but that £1.5 bn is the tip of the iceberg. It is just one small item which has somehow been pulled from the fog of official secrecy.AlanLlewellyn wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 9:52 amI am not an apologist to government corruption, but ffs we are the least corrupt country in the terms of government corruption in the world. 1.5 billion out of 500 billion spent just shows how little corruption there was.

Here’s a good nine minute expose by Channel 4 on Rishi. Does it make you feel a bit uncomfortable? https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=9V0mZMabo6kAlanLlewellyn wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 10:16 amof couse you can legislate crime away just by using the magic legislation pen-sarcasmNickFaulks wrote: ↑Sat Jul 23, 2022 10:07 amSorry, but that £1.5 bn is the tip of the iceberg.
