Preliminary round

Post by Andrew Zigmond » Fri Apr 25, 2014 11:57 pm

Tomorrow (26th) sees the preliminary round of the competition. Hampshire face Greater Manchester in the Minor Counties with Cambridgeshire playing Kent in the U160. Good luck to all teams and hopefully some great chess will be played.

I imagine the matches will be close, although given how many players are unavailable for G Man, I would be very pleased if we beat Hants

A win to Manchester by 11.5 - 4.5; Hampshire must be thankful you didn't turn up with your first team!

Bit of a surprise it was as big a margin as that - despite not having 16 players
