Pia Cramling Ladies Open

Post by Leonard Barden » Sat Sep 01, 2018 9:49 pm

Not directly on the thread subject, but I thought it appropriate to put it here:
England's No1 woman Harriet Hunt is making a rare tournament appearance this weekend in the Pia Cramling Ladies Open in Stockholm. The main event is a four-player all-play-all with Pia herself, Elizabeth Paehtz, Almira Skripchenko and Scotland's Keti Arakhamia-Grant.
In the 35-player, 7-round rapidplay open Harriet (2439) outrates the No2 seed by around 150 points, but after the Saturday rounds she is second with 3.5/4 after drawing from a winning position against the No3 seed, who was outrated by 200 points.
So the key game between Harriet and the No2 seed Inna Agrest will be in round 5 at 10am Sunday and can be viewed live on chess24.com.
