I'm assuming it's an event the ECF are thinking of running where they've built the links ahead of having something to put in them.

That said, the English Seniors announced by Jack last week as running at Coulsdon in the week before the August Bank Holiday has yet to feature either on the ECF site or the CCF one.

Thanks. I lost it with the Seniors. Must have been their bump not CCF. Bit worse - 2 county games put off because of this booking. Hopefully putting to Metropolitan w/e was not the cause of that cancellation. Hopefully Alex will reply on other.

The venue change took place some time ago but the condition that the winner must be 2100+ to qualify for the England team has now been removed

There aren't so many candidates above 2100 that those above that rating wouldn't have been near automatic choices if they declared their availability.

It also makes it far more attractive for those under 2100 so I hope that it will lead to an increase in entries.

Not a high number of entries, to put it mildly, but with the vast majority of the competitors being candidates for the fourth or fifth places in the national team, nonetheless representative in terms of strength. Obviously I am delighted that two Barbican players finished first and second.

(Ignorance alert: To what extent has there previously been an English women's title, as opposed to the British women's title ?)

It has been awarded as part of the British Championship for as long as I have been involved with it.

One English title, which Kanwal won, one British title to be decided in the next fortnight.
