European Women's Rapid & Blitz Chess Championship 2026

This championship seems to have fallen off the radar of the forum (we have probably been distracted by the posts on putting away club chess equipment, which I admit has been interesting).

England have three players in this championship and this seems to be proving the potential of Bodhana Sivanandan. The English scores from the Blitz were:

Apart from the European players, finishing ahead of a player of the calibre of Harriet allows a comparison. I appreciate this is not classical chess, but I still think that for a player born in 2015 she is performing at a very high standard. I wonder what level she will be in a couple of years?

Bodhana went all 11 rounds of the Rapid unbeaten and in the final round held the draw a pawn down against Teodora Injac, the reigning 2025 European champion.
