Make that 1 out of 8

There aren't many players who avoid something like this at some stage of their career tbf.

A draw for Guinina today, and she might very well have done worse.

The other Muzychuk also drew, with Goryachkina, who to my eyes headed straight for that result. As I write Koneru is trying to cut the deficit, though she shouldn't have any real advantage in the ending.

Although I understand that the Grand Prix qualifies two players for the Candidates in 2021, I can't find anything explaining how the other qualifying places are determined. So while I assume that Goryachkina is pre-qualified by virtue of reaching the upcoming world championship match, I don't actually know that, and nor do I know whether, if that's so, the third-placed player in the Grand Prix would have a place reserved for them.
