Vaishali beats Lei Tingjie so Tan is a point clear with one round to go.

I guess it depends upon long FIDE processes take, but you wonder whether, if Bodhana were to apply for the WFM title, she would have earned the WIM title by the time it were ratified. You wouldn't rule out FM at age nine either.

For titles requiring a particular rating, you have to wait until the end of the month in which it was achieved. If it is a question of norms, you have to wait for the next FIDE Council meeting, which may be up to four months.
If you want a picture of the future, imagine a QR code stamped on a human face — forever.

Bodhana starts with a draw: https://www.chess.com/events/2024-europ ... hian_Lilit Katarzyna won, Lan Yao drew, Jovanka & Akshaya lost.
Bodhana & Lan Yao both won and Kata drew so are all on 1.5/2, Akshaya & Jovanka drew and are on 0.5.
Wins for Lan Yao (2.5) & Jovanka (1.5) today, draws for Bodhana (2) & Akshaya (1) but a loss for Kata (1.5).

Round 4 saw a win for Kata, draws for Jovi & Akshaya but losses for Lan Yao & Bodhana.

One round 5 pairing caught my eye, Bodhana v Jovanka!

The game looks like a tribute to Tony Miles!

An experience that Bodhana will doubtless have learnt a lot from. Mainly to sit tight sometimes. 93.g4 was a bit unfortunate.

I notice Bohana is still playing on until mate appears on the board (when she is clearly losing). At some point she will come across someone who that will upset!
