Not where you'd normally look for English players, but Jean Luc Weller is playing in the Accession group this year. Doing OK after 6 rounds - 2.5/6 and a break even 2250 performance.

Presumably qualifying via his mother. He's still getting an English flag on the tournament website though

As far as I can remember, anyone can participate in any of the different tournaments in the French Championship (Accession, Open A, Open B etc) regardless of nationality, with the exception of the very top tournament to determine the French champion. Unless the rules have changed recently.
