Does anyone know the default time in this event?
Kamsky has lost in round 3 without making a move.

I believe he was 2 minutes late, hence the zero tolerance rule kicked in or so it was reported on twitter

It has been claimed he was involved in some sort of car crash.

Four players on 4/4 although Wesley So may well be wondering why he isn't one of them after what looked like a very favourable opening in round 4. Luke McShane and Nakamura are amongst the chasing pack on 3.5 with Caruana & So amongst those on 3.

McShane against Nakamura should be worth a look.

Far less exciting than McShane's previous draw.

I'm not sure of the tiebreak rule to get into Millionaire Monday. Does anyone know?
I guess they must have calculated it favoured them whatever happened in the other games?

It's like taking an early draw in the World Cup, you have to come back and fight again at rapid or blitz.

Thanks for the link. So they were taking a bit of a risk but not too much.
I won't be staying up all night to watch the playoffs.
Le Quang Liem has drawn with So and if boards 2-5 are all decisive there will be four players on six points.
If at least one of those games is drawn then the tiebreaks will involve the players on 5.5 who so far are Nakamura, McShane and So.
There could be many others.
From that link I see that the losers in the tiebreak get to compete tomorrow for some lesser prizes.
LATER: I also see that despite his bad start Caruana might still win the event if he wins his current game (likely) and then succeeds in the playoffs.
