Luke McShane, David Howell and Stephen Gordon are all currently in action in the latest Bundesliga weekend.

Luke McShane won his game for Bremen against GM Sebastian Bogner 2549 with white to improve his season's score to 3/6 and help his team to a 7-1 victory.

David Howell and Stephen Gordon both drew for SG Trier as their team beat Remagen 4.5-3.5.

Luke is black against IM Ruud Janssen (2498) on board 3 of the Bremen-Emsdetten match whilst David and Stephen are playing on boards 2 and 5 in the Trier-Solingen match, David is white against GM Chanda Sandipan (2641) and Stephen faces GM Jan Werle (2574) as black.

Not a great day for the English, Luke McShane lost to IM Ruud Janssen which leaves the match at 3.5-3.5 whilst David Howell lost to GM Chanda Sandipan and Stephen Gordon drew with black against GM Jan Werle as SG Trier lost 6-2.

Luke's loss to Janssen - didn't see all of the game but the finish was pretty horrible. Mind you he must be knackered after Wijk aan Zee.

He has struggled in the Bundesliga playing against lower rated players this year as shown by his 3/7 score against an average of somewhere around 2500. Mind you, he's playing at 2750+ against 2600 and 2700s in tournaments so it's been an amazing couple of months for him apart from the Bundesliga
