Congratulations to Stewart Haslinger who won the open on tie-break with 7.5/9 ahead of Deep Sengupta. Stewart had a performance of 2637 and gained 16 rating points. Mike Haslinger (Stewart’s dad) also played and scored 4.

England’s number two (on the January 2011 rating list) Luke McShane is on 3/3 in the Grandmaster Group B. He is eighth seed in the fourteen player all-play-all event that includes four players rated over 2700. His wins have been against GMs Wouter Spoelman rated 2547, Li Chao rated 2649 and Vlad Tkachiev rated 2636.

does this include English players playing in Wales or Scotland?

Of course, it also includes those living in America, Australia, Canada, Germany, Greece, Hungary, New Zealand and Norway to name a few that I've covered in previous round-ups. If I'm aware of the tournaments I'll include them.
