Twelve year old Isaac Sanders produced another excellent result finishing with a rating performance of 2124 scoring 4.5/9 and also winning grading and age group prizes.

The FIDE rated open ended in a seven way tie on 4.5/6 between Philip Bonafont, Paul Georghiou, Akash Jain, Karel Mitura, Magdalena Miturova, Nasir Rizvi and Saravanan Sathyanandha.

Congratulations to GM Deep Sengupta and IM Arghyadip Das (both from India) who won the Hastings Masters 2010 with 7/9. Grandmasters Romain Edouard, Andrei Istratescu, David Howell, Valeriy Neverov, Danny Gormally and IM Rao Prasanna all scored 6.5. Prasanna also achieved a GM norm.
From an English perspective David Howell had a 2631 performance, Danny Gormally 2551, Richard Bates 2481, Adam Ashton 2404, David Eggleston 2397. Our younger players also had good results; James Jackson performed at 2201, Sarah Hegarty 2148, Tarun Malhotra 2078 and Ravi Haria 2029.

Nigel Short played in the 10 player all-play-all where Vassily Ivanchuk was top seed. After beating Gashimov & Morozevich in the first two rounds Nigel finished on 3.5/9.
