7ème OPEN INTERNATIONAL DE VANDOEUVRE 19-23 December

Adam Hunt, Nathan Alfred and Sabrina Chevannes played in Tournoi A. Adam finished on 5 (including a black win against GM Tornike Sanikidze rated 2558 and a draw against GM Tigran Gharamian rated 2650), Nathan scored 4.5 and Sabrina 3.

The English challenge includes GMs David Howell, Mark Hebden, Simon Williams, Danny Gormally and Aaron Summerscale as well as IMs Richard Pert and Thomas Rendle who both have 1 GM norm.
England’s leading scorer at the 2010 Olympiad, 22 year old Sarah Hegarty, also plays as do two of our leading Under 21 girls, 18 year old Lateefah Messam-Sparks and 14 year old Amy Hoare.
There are also a number of talented England juniors playing including Yang-Fan Zhou, Peter Williams, Ravi Haria and Tarun Malhotra.
