European Amateurs Championship in Chess will take place on 21st July – 1st August 2010.

There will be 8 categories together:
•men with ELO FIDE < 2000 (tournament D)
•women with ELO FIDE < 2000 (tournament D)
•men with ELO FIDE and ELO national < 1800 (tournament E)
•women with ELO FIDE and ELO national < 1800 (tournament E)
•men active chess with ELO FIDE < 2000 (tournament G2)
•women active chess with ELO FIDE < 2000 (tournament G2)
•men active chess with ELO FIDE and ELO national < 1800 (tournament G3)
•women active chess with ELO FIDE and ELO national < 1800 (tournament G3)
Every ECU member federation has the right to nominate at 1 player and 1 woman player in each of these categories without paying starting fee till 15th July 2010. Other applicants can register directly to the organizer and they pay the given starting fee. European champions (man and woman) in each category will become the best placed players (man and woman) in the given tournament who are members of chess federation belonging to ECU and whose ELO FIDE is corresponding in the given category.
