I see that the ECF has congratulated Alex Holowczak, with a copy of a letter from FIDE President Arkady Dvorkovich

Dear Mr. Holowczak

As you are aware, the FIDE Chess Olympiad 2024 will take place in Budapest, Hungary, and is scheduled to be held from 10 to 23 September 2024.

This event is of great importance for the world-wide projection of the image of FIDE.

In this connection, I am writing to inform you that I have approved your appointment as TAP (Technical Administration Panel) Chair of the event.

I'm sure we all congratulation Alex as well; however I'd love to know what a TAP does (no silly comments please).

Keeps the computers well behaved.

16. 5. All the members of TAP are experienced in the field of electronic data processing and have to assure a backup function as
each member shall be able to take over the work of any other member in case of technical or personal failure. Although the pairings
are calculated with the help of a computer program, all the members of the Technical Administration Panel (TAP) are able to check
and/or produce the pairings
