Nepo has three Whites in his next four games, the exception being Firouzja in round eleven. I am guessing that if he can get them (and if he does not lose in round eleven) he will be happy with draws in all of those games.
That's the first ticked off

Nepo is being pretty much gift wrapped this isn't he. Unless you think Naka really can make a late surge.

Well if Nepo avoids defeat against Firouzja tomorrow he will surely win this thing without a doubt, but seeing as second place is an issue, suddenly it's looking surprisingly interesting.

And today has just been downright poor from Caruana, its not like the last time when Naka had to play really well to beat him.

Maybe that's why he still won't resign.....

That will certainly be the Russophobic line.

It is "Russophobic" to point out Rapport basically gave him a free win, and Ding played a few hundred points beneath his true strength?

(not to mention Caruana doing the same today)

Yes, he has been lucky. He has made good use of that luck and I don't begrudge him that, at least.

Didn't Capablanca say that the good player is always lucky?

I don't expect that luck to extend to his match with Magnus (should it take place).

As I said, you also have to make the most of your luck and he has (so far)

But its hard to deny that apart from him, Naka and possibly Radjabov (who is proving to be no bunny) the players here have still disappointed somewhat. Kramnik may have been slightly exaggerating for effect the other day, but he wasn't totally wrong either.

Agreed. Magnus won't be worried.

If Nepo does go on to win this, I shall have little time for all the usual suspects saying he didn't deserve it.

In the last four rounds, Nepo only plays one of his closest challengers (Nakamura in round 12). Does anyone think Ding or Caruana can put together a run of 4/4 to push Nepo close (assuming Nepo only draws the next four games)? If Nakamura beats Nepo in round 12, then 3.5/4 from Nakamura would be enough to overhaul Nepo. There is also the question of whether Nepo's other three opponents (all out of the running now) can muster enough fight to keep Nepo to a draw, or even beat him. It is looking very good for Nepo, isn't it? When was the last time that someone qualified twice in a row to be the Challenger?

Or Ding?

Astonishing to think that if Ding hadn't turned up a day or two before the start - a week, say - maybe he wins that first game and he'd be leading the tournament now 1/2 a point ahead of Nepo
