GM Tiger Hillarp Persson won this year's open event with 6.5/7. Four players shared second, Samuel Franklin, Jan Havenaar, GMs Oleg Korneev and Bojan Kurajica. IM Robert Bellin and Christian Baumert finished on 5. Clearly the stand out result is the performance of 15 year old Samuel Franklin who scored 5.5/7 against an average of 2246 defeating IM Robert Bellin in round three and finishing with a draw against Tiger in the last round.
