So if chess24 is to be believed board 2 in the women’s match was for some reason played early. I’m assuming it was a draw by repetition rather than black win, although white seems to be +57 in the final position...! :(
In that case they also strangely played an identical game to Louise yesterday. Hopefully it doesn't mean there was a default, so yesterdays game has been left showing (which was a draw)

all relatively quiet so far though Luke's position certainly seems the easier to play, and well, you trust Gawain in that kind of KID mess.

the engine lines on chessbomb at move 26 in gawain's game are quite something

alas gawain's opponent is showing some engine-like coolness himself

and the opponent has just played something other than the computer's first move (31). it was still the second best move, though.

gawain plays a tempo. SF now of the view that it should be tenable even if white keeps his nerve.

Well that could have gone the other way.

Grischuk maybe should have beaten Firouzja today.

I think we deserved our win today. Gawain's attack was strong in a practical sense and you don't expect your opponent to show computer like defence indefinitely.

France could beat Russia, if lagarde holds his nerve.
