How would Haria have got the GM title from a single game in the event?

He's already got all his norms, and just needs to get his rating up to 2500.

Has Adams become a hypnotist? Struggling to understand the apparent draw agreement.

Could be a mistake, getting the result right still seems to be an unsolved problem when relaying games.

Ah, of course.

So he still has a chance with a few good results later on?

I don't see a way out of the perpetual albeit I haven't checked with an engine.

Yes, at the start of the tournament a win against a 2310 or higher would have sufficed. He loses about 0.4 from yesterday's game so it's probably a win in his next game against a 2335 (or higher) now or a draw against a 2723 (or higher). Something along those lines anyway.

There's some sort of triangulation that gets out of it. Somebody in the chess24 chat mentioned that he won (with confirmation via a video interview) so assume that's true. I doubt the game ended with Qf1+ anyway (which would imply a black draw offer - unlikely)

Fortunately looks like Luke is going to win anyway.

As the song remarks, "According to Stockfish..." it isn't a draw.

Luke's game is interesting. I love endings like that, although admittedly love them more when someone else is playing them.

Chess-results is saying 1/2 - 1/2?
