Going back to round 5, Caruana's 23rd move against Xiong was indeed a shocker (Tim Harding mentioned the game earlier, but maybe he was referring more to the later 34...Rd8?? move?).

23...Nd8 24.Nb4 and suddenly White has a protected knight on d5 and a massive (probably winning) edge.

Some noise was made about 29.Nh4 as a better continuation than the game.
