Czech Open 15th July to 1st August 2021

Post by Simon Rogers » Sat Jul 10, 2021 1:07 pm

The 32nd International Chess and Games Festival starts on 15th July and finishes on the 1st August in Pardubice, Czech Republic.
Is there any UK or Bermudan entrants?
Is there any links to follow the games?

Thanks Lawrence. Just started going through the list and a former Poulton-le-Fylde player is playing.
He is called Laith Kasib. FM from Iraq . The year of birth is right.
Came to Poulton-le-Fylde for a couple of years and stayed as a refugee from Iraq during the troubles.
Our local paper, the Blackpool Gazette did a large article titled " From Baghdad to Blackpool " . I still have it somewhere.
I think he then moved to Sweden and was planning to go to Russia after that.
