The 2021 Grand Chess Tour will kick off in classical fashion, with the Superbet Chess Classic moving away from 2019's rapid and blitz format. The Sheraton Bucharest hotel will host ten players in a heavyweight round-robin battle for a total of $325,000 in prize money.

I'm very much looking forward to some top level classical chess being broadcast.
I don't see round times anywhere. I'm assuming during UK work hours, but since Grand Tour, I have some hope will be later for the US audience.

I am honoured to have been reappointed as Chief Arbiter for the Grand Chess Tour 2021 and I am pleased that the Tour is going ahead. I was not confident about that until recently.
Like a number of others, I shall be feeling relieved at 1300 BST on Saturday 5th June, if play duly starts then.
Unfortunately the report on TWIC is nonsense. The Superbet Chess Classic is a Standardplay event, not a Rapid and Blitz event. Mick has quoted correctly from the official website.
In answer to Paul, play starts at 1300 BST each day from Saturday 5th June until Monday 14th June, apart from Thursday 10th June which is a rest day.
Those who find it more convenient to watch live chess in the evenings will have the opportunity later in the Tour, when the action moves to St. Louis, Missouri, USA.

It seems to have gone.

It was certainly a fairly elementary mistake for them to make.

Suould be a great tournament, I shall be cheering for Rapport. Clearly an amazing talent, and the popular view ( which I share ) seems to be that his progress has been a bit disappointing.
He has a 2763 rating, world #11, everyone above him is at least two years older, so what do we want? I want him to win something really big.

The same, I think Rapport plays the most consistently entertaining chess of any player in the world. I hope he does well.
Nakamura is not a fan and said at some point he's massively overated

Seems to have worked, as Mark now has
Earlier I'd completely failed to notice that this was a classical rather than a rapid and blitz as it was in 2019

Sorry Nick!
Rapport should still play in the remainder of the Tour.

Bogdan-Daniel Deac is a talented player, if not yet obviously in this class. Perhaps this can be his breakthrough.
