Grischuk - Duda is interesting. After 24...Qf4 the machine says Black is better, but I would be a bit frightened.

I see Duda won the tiebreak and has a quarter final v Vidit

We also will have Fedoseev v Tabatabaei

Karjakin wins with black in game 6 to qualify whilst Esipenko equalises against Magnus and on they go to game 7.

Anish Giri and his wife Sopiko are the commentary team on chess24 today. Good so far. Regrettable I can't stretch my lunch further!

Is Shankland draws with Karjakin he is one step from the candidates. I really hope he makes it

Their kid joined in the commentary too today and even had control of the mouse at one point :D

Duda v Carlsen then; if Duda wins, he's in the Candidates, if he loses, he has a 3rd place playoff for a Candidates spot
