That sure is an interesting line up, I wonder who is favourite?

Leaving out the highest rated player and the 'home favourite' - brave.

It will be most interesting to see if van Foreest has jumped a level and can demonstrate it again like he did in January

Grandelius might be favourite though

I'd go for Shirov, on the highly scientific basis that when I played in Malmo he won, quite some way ahead of Grandelius

Having spoken to Johan Sigeman at some length yesterday, I suspect the tournament will be delayed by several months.

Karpov :!:
Karpov will be 70 in May. As far as ex world champions continuing to compete at high levels I should imagine Smyslov and Lasker are the record holders so far.

Postponed confirmed by Pete Doggers (as is Norway chess)
In a statement on the tournament website, tournament director Johan Berntsen has announced that the current situation with the coronavirus has forced them to delay the tournament: "The current restrictions imposed by the EU and the Swedish government [have] once again made it impossible to continue planning this event. But, right now we are investigating the possibility to go through with the tournament later this year instead (somewhere in August-October)."
