How about a users' poll to decide on the last place? Nakamura?

I know he wasn't on great form in the US championship, but this seems harsh

Not meant to be harsh, simply meant to be good marketing

Looks like the tournament kicking off tomorrow will be really professional. The commentary team featuring David Howell and Jovanka even have their own studio.

Round 1

1 GM Giri, Anish (0) 2731 — GM Vachier-Lagr. (0) 2860
2 GM Karjakin, S. (0) 2709 — GM Ding, Liren (0) 2836
3 GM Nakamura, H. (0) 2829 — GM Duda, J. (0) 2774
4 GM Le, Quang L. (0) 2744 — GM Aronian, L. (0) 2778
5 GM Vidit, S. G. (0) 2636 — GM Firouzja, A. (0) 2703
6 GM So, Wesley (0) 2741 — GM Anton Guijar. (0) 2667
7 GM Svidler, P. (0) 2742 — GM Radjabov, T. (0) 2758
8 GM Nepomniachtc. (0) 2778 — GM Carlsen, M. (0) 2881

For 15 euros you can get yourself a Giri Mug. Think they might struggle to sell those and the rest of the clobber they have up for sale.

Some of those mugs are a bit scary. Imagine leaving one by your bed and waking in the middle of the night and seeing the mug illuminated by the moon.

Not too impressed by "Magnus Carslen Chess Tour Finals Mug" either!

Presumably a loss by mouse slip by Carlsen in round 1.

Anish Giri on Twitter: "Took the sole lead thanks to slip deprivation".

Finding the choice of commentary the biggest struggle of all. Leaning towards Howell and Houska but David does seem rather nervous and the constant references to The Queens Gambit are a bit intrusive.
